loved our stay at this former monastery in vila franca do campo. the historical building and central location were perfect for exploring sao miguel. the breakfast was excellent, especially the bread, preserves, pineapple, and cheese. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our stay even better.

We were thrilled to stay in the beautiful Convento De Sao Francisco Villa. The atmosphere and surroundings were so peaceful and tranquil, it felt like a true escape. The atmosphere and decor were amazing, with the old convent walls and furnishings being beautifully conserved. I loved being able to wander through the cloister and original rooms used by the monks. The bar area and swimming pool were also lovely, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast included fresh pineapple and was delicious.
